Almost 15 years ago, Jed teamed with Charmion to found Cascade Advisors, with a focus on delivering a service level unmatched in the market. Jed has been a CFO and has advised, invested in, and/or operated companies in sectors including technology, real estate, consumer products, and healthcare. He has a trusted network of relationships throughout the banking, consulting, investing, and corporate world. Having lived and worked in New York City and the Pacific Northwest for many years, Jed now calls the San Diego area home. He holds a B.S. degree in Economics from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and played varsity Squash.
CHARMION FREIFELD

Charmion has been immersed in the executive recruiting business for the bulk of her career. For almost 20 years, Charmion has been a leading recruiter, working with clients including top investment banks, investment firms, and numerous Fortune 500 corporations. Prior to founding Cascade Advisors, Charmion was a top producer at a New York-based boutique recruiting firm where she focused on investment banking and corporate development. Prior to that, Charmion worked with venture capital firms and their partners at U.S. Trust in New York City. Originally from Hong Kong, Charmion has bi-coastal experience having lived in New York City, the Pacific Northwest, and, now, Southern California. Charmion holds a B.A. degree in English from Tufts University and played varsity Tennis.
LIZ MICHIELS
MANAGING DIRECTOR
Liz has over fifteen years of Executive Search experience, working on both the West and East Coasts. Clients include companies in Financial Services, Technology, Biotechnology, and Consumer/Retail across the United States. Liz has completed searches at the junior and senior levels, up to C-level and Partner positions. Liz previously held roles in investment banking and corporate development/strategy for two multi-billion consumer/retail/media companies. She attended UC Berkeley for undergraduate, Stanford for her MBA; and is originally from Los Angeles - having worked in San Francisco, New York City, and now Seattle in Executive Search.
BEN STEWART
MANAGING DIRECTOR
Ben has over 15 years of executive search experience working in both the US and Asia. He began his career in NY with Glocap Search before moving to Hong Kong to become Managing Partner of a financial services executive search firm. He has completed searches from the Associate to Partner level.
Ben has a degree in history from Trinity College where he played Varsity Tennis. He currently lives in San Francisco. Outside of the office, Ben keeps busy playing racquet sports, renovating houses in Marin and waiting for Steve Cohen to turn around the Mets!
